London Property News: Craft beer pub to open near Euston Station

Overseas property buyers in London are set to receive a warm welcome to the capital with the opening of a unique beer house at Euston Station.

Those considering renting a pub in London might be inspired by the plans to redevelop the Grade-II listed West Lodge, which is situated in the main square of the station, the Publican reports.

Opening next month, the Euston Tap will serve craft beers sourced from around the world.

Jonathan Dalton of Bloomsbury Leisure Group - the company behind the London property development scheme - told the news source: "Network Rail see it as a gateway to the station but were looking at having a Starbucks which would have been horrendous.

"Instead we will transform this beautiful building into a spectacular venue," he said, adding that the two-level Euston Tap will feature American-style beer taps on the back wall rather than in their traditional spot at the bar.

Meanwhile, plans for a high-speed rail link between Euston and Birmingham are under fire after residents of London's Primrose Hill raised concerns that their property prices could fall as a result of the development work.
