The Drinks Business - PubAid tracks pub charity work

PubAid is asking all UK licensees to complete a short online survey in order to build a more accurate picture of the charitable fundraising carried out by pubs.

noot-pubaid.jpgSet up in 2009, the PubAid website aims to highlight the unrecognised contributions to charity made by UK pubs in an effort to emphasise the positive role they can play in communities.

Licensees have until 15 April to complete the survey, whose results will then be analysed by on-trade specialist consultants CGA Strategy. The findings will be announced at the British Institute of Innkeepers lunch on 10 May, before being sent to national media, associations and the government.

Des O’Flanagan, who heads up the team of PubAid volunteers, commented: “Having factual information from pubs and bars will allow us to send a really strong message to those that attack our industry, by showing them clear evidence of the great work that pubs and bars do, not just in the local community but nationally.”

The survey is available online at www.pubaid.com
